Job Description
**Job Title** Intern – Software Development Engineer, Ship Stability **Role Summary** An internship focused on developing a new maritime software tool for ship stability calculations. The role involves translating regulatory criteria into functional specifications, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and validating software outputs. **Expectations** - Actively contribute to the creation of software that ensures naval and offshore vessel designs meet international regulations. - Work within an international, multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced, innovation‑driven environment. - Demonstrate rigorous, methodical work habits and strong communication skills in English. **Key Responsibilities** - Collect ship stability criteria from national and international regulations. - Analyse, classify, and synthesize criteria to support technical implementation. - Draft functional specifications for integration into the stability software. - Perform testing and validation of results in coordination with development and ship‑architecture teams. - Collaborate with global colleagues throughout the development cycle. **Required Skills** - Knowledge of ship stability principles and regulatory frameworks. - Strong analytical and documentation abilities. - Methodical, detail‑oriented work style. - Proficient in written and spoken English for international collaboration. - Ability to work in a technical, fast‑moving environment. **Required Education & Certifications** - Currently pursuing or holding an engineering degree (or equivalent) specializing in naval architecture or related field.
