**Job Title:** TRIEC‑Eligible Engineering Positions (Ontario) **Role Summary:** Candidates referred through the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC) are considered for a range of full‑time engineering roles within a global professional services firm. These roles span transportation, water/wastewater, environmental, land development, construction, mechanical, electrical, civil (P.Eng required), design management, and infrastructure project management. The position involves participation in multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable engineering solutions across diverse projects. **Expectations:** - Complete a single application that qualifies for all open engineering positions in Ontario. - Demonstrate proficiency in assigned discipline(s) and readiness to take on entry‑level or experienced roles. - Adhere to the firm’s professional standards, ethical guidelines, and project-specific deliverables. - Engage in ongoing learning and professional development to meet evolving technical and regulatory requirements. **Key Responsibilities (typical across disciplines):** - Conduct engineering analyses, design calculations, and performance assessments. - Develop project proposals, cost estimates, and progress reports. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate technical solutions. - Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. - Participate in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. - Provide technical guidance to junior staff and oversee quality control activities. **Required Skills:** - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Proficiency in industry‑standard CAD and simulation tools. - Effective communication skills—both written and verbal—for technical documentation and stakeholder interaction. - Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams. - Project management fundamentals, including scheduling and budgeting. - For civil engineering roles, ownership of a P.Eng license; for other disciplines, relevant professional certification preferred. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, or related discipline). - P.Eng license mandatory for all civil engineering positions; other discipline certifications (e.g., Professional Engineer, Registered Professional Engineer) are a plus. - Demonstrated experience or coursework related to project design, construction, or environmental compliance.
