**Job Title** Director, Group R&D (M/F) **Role Summary** Lead and oversee R&D operations across Europe for a global HR solutions provider. Define and execute R&D strategy, manage budgets, drive quality and innovation, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives while fostering cross‑functional collaboration. **Expectations** - 5‑10 years of experience directing multidisciplinary, international R&D teams in a software or SaaS environment. - Proven track record in modern R&D methodologies (Lean, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Design Thinking). - Strong architectural knowledge and experience modernising application stacks. - Bilingual fluency in French and English; Spanish an advantage. - Demonstrated ability to report to executive leadership, manage budgets, and deliver on KPIs. **Key Responsibilities** - Pilot and coordinate R&D functions across European sites. - Define, monitor, and report on quality, efficiency, and security KPIs. - Structure and continuously improve R&D processes (Lean, Agile, Design Thinking). - Manage the R&D budget and provide regular financial and performance reports to the CEO. - Develop and deploy the R&D strategy aligned with group goals. - Lead cross‑functional projects: ISO 27001 compliance, continuous integration, IP protection, architecture redesign. - Promote collaboration across teams on shared domains (architecture, AI, joint initiatives). - Drive innovation, maintain technology watch, and optimize project performance. - Mentor teams, facilitate knowledge sharing, and develop talent. - Ensure project quality, adherence to deadlines, and resource optimization. - Collaborate with Product, IT, Support, and external partners. **Required Skills** - Leadership and team‑federation in complex, international settings. - Expertise in modern R&D practices (Lean, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Design Thinking). - Strong understanding of software architecture, modernization, and cloud technologies. - Budget management and financial reporting proficiency. - Excellent communication in French and English; Spanish proficiency is a plus. - Strategic thinking, problem solving, and stakeholder management. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Certifications in Agile (Scrum Master, Agile Leadership) or Lean are highly desirable.
