Job Title: Commercial – Meat (B2B Sales)
Role Summary:
Drive commercial development for a regional meat production group by building and maintaining B2B relationships with retailers, restaurants, and distributors. Provide tailored product offerings, ensure quality and traceability compliance, and support business growth through promotion and events.
Expectations:
- Expand the client base and achieve sales targets.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain compliance with traceability, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect, develop, and manage a B2B portfolio across beef, lamb, pork, and related products.
- Analyse client needs, propose customized solutions (product mix, volume, logistics).
- Advise clients on quality, origin, labels, cuts, and packaging, highlighting local quality commitments.
- Ensure adherence to traceability, food safety, and regulatory procedures.
- Organise promotional activities, trade shows, tastings, and other marketing events.
- Report on sales volume, margins, and customer satisfaction; adjust strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, quality, purchasing, and marketing units to optimise offerings.
Required Skills:
- Strong B2B sales and negotiation experience in the meat or related agri-food sector.
- In-depth knowledge of meat supply chains, labeling, regulations, and client expectations.
- Excellent client‑interaction, communication, and relationship‑building abilities.
- Proactive, self‑driven, organised, and detail‑oriented.
- Proficiency with office tools (Excel), CRM, ERP, and digital platforms.
- Valid driver's license (B) and willingness to travel regionally.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Minimum Bachelor‑level qualification (Bac + 2) in commerce, agri‑food, animal production, agronomy, or equivalent.
- Proven commercial experience in the meat industry or similar B2B role.
- Additional certifications in food safety, traceability, or meat handling are considered an advantage.
