Job Description

**Job title:** Structural Engineer **Role Summary:** Senior or mid‑level structural engineer responsible for the design, analysis, and construction support of major infrastructure projects, including concept studies, feasibility, and detailed design of reinforced concrete and steel structures. **Expectations:** Deliver rigorous, cost‑effective structural solutions in compliance with British, European, and international standards. Work autonomously on projects while supporting senior engineers and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform concept and feasibility studies for multi‑discipline projects. - Conduct structural analysis and design using software such as Tekla, IDEA StatiCA, and TEDDS, complemented by hand calculations. - Prepare detailed calculations, basis of design documents, material specifications, and CDM activity reports. - Provide construction site support and inspections. - Assist senior structural engineers with project deliverables. - Utilize BIM packages to model and coordinate structural components. **Required Skills:** - Strong technical design capability using British standards, Eurocodes, and international codes. - Proficient in structural analysis and design software (Tekla, IDEA StatiCA, TEDDS). - Experience with BIM tools and coordination. - Ability to produce comprehensive design and calculation documentation. - Knowledge of reinforced concrete and steelwork design principles. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Degree in engineering (BEng or MEng) with a focus on structural engineering. - Structural Engineer qualification. - Professional qualification pathway (MIStructE/MICE) desired.
