Job Description
**Job Title** 2026 Summer Analyst Intern, Valuations & Opinions Group **Role Summary** Provide analytical support within the Valuations & Opinions Group, assisting in the valuation of illiquid debt and equity securities for hedge funds, private equity funds, and business development companies. Contribute to valuation modeling, research, client communication, and project coordination across multiple geographies. **Expectations** - Self‑motivated and assertive, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines. - Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to learn and contribute to a growing valuations practice. - Strong cognitive and interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment. **Key Responsibilities** - Support portfolio valuation team by preparing fair‑value reports for clients. - Construct and refine valuation models, including discounted cash flow (DCF), precedent transaction, and public company comparables using proprietary tools. - Identify comparable public companies and M&A transactions using S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and industry classification methods. - Conduct research on general economic conditions, industry trends, and recent acquisitions or divestitures. - Participate in due‑diligence meetings, client communications, and auditor queries regarding valuation analyses. - Assist in preparing fee proposals, pitch materials, and written valuation reports. - Maintain and update proprietary valuation databases. - Coordinate recurring valuation projects with team members across different regions. - Support senior team members and perform ad‑hoc research and analytics as needed. **Required Skills** - Strong analytical and quantitative abilities; solid foundation in financial accounting and valuation principles. - Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with valuation software is a plus. - Familiarity with S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and industry classification systems. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present findings clearly to clients and internal stakeholders. - Detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of working independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. **Required Education & Certifications** - Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline. - Minimum academic performance as required by internship program (e.g., GPA ≥ 3.0). ---
