Job Description
**Job Title:** Compensation Advisor **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and evaluate employee compensation programs across Canada, Colombia, Mexico, and the U.S., ensuring market competitiveness and compliance with local laws. Analyze job classifications, market data, and internal metrics to recommend and implement salary and benefit strategies, support collective bargaining, and generate analytical reports for senior management. **Expectations:** - Deliver evidence‑based compensation recommendations that align with business strategy and legal requirements. - Maintain data integrity in HRIS and Excel models; prepare clear, concise presentations for leadership. - Work independently, exercising discretion with confidential information, and drive initiatives without extensive supervision. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct job analyses, market pricing studies, and merit review processes. - Gather and analyze compensation survey data, develop models, and benchmark against industry standards. - Develop and update compensation policies, ensuring compliance with legislation (e.g., FLSA, Pay Equity, HIPAA). - Collaborate with HR and finance to align compensation with budgeting and strategic goals. - Prepare reports, presentations, and ad‑hoc analyses for management and external partners. - Audit HRIS data for accuracy and compliance. **Required Skills:** - Strong quantitative and qualitative research methods. - Advanced Excel (formulas, modeling, visualization). - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Independent judgment and initiative. - Ability to synthesize data into clear, actionable insights. - Confidentiality and diplomacy in handling sensitive information. - Familiarity with U.S. employment law, compensation best practices, and HR compliance. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Economics, Finance, or related field (master’s preferred). - Professional certifications such as Compensate Certified Professional (CCP/CCPR), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), or Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM‑SCP) strongly preferred.
