**Job Title:** Senior Systems Engineer – Software Systems – Defence **Role Summary:** Lead the definition, development, and integration of software-intensive defense systems. Capture and translate customer requirements into traceable system and software specifications, support product line architecture, and manage engineering changes to ensure compliance and system integrity throughout the lifecycle. **Expactations:** - Minimum 8 years of systems engineering experience, preferably in defense or aerospace. - Proven track record in requirements management, change control, and configuration management. - Ability to engage with customers, conduct trade studies, and influence product line strategy. **Key Responsibilities:** - Engage with defense clients to elicit, analyze, and document operational needs. - Develop and maintain system, subsystem, and software requirements using DOORS/DOORS NG, Rhapsody, or equivalent. - Ensure requirement traceability and flow‑down across system hierarchy. - Contribute to common architecture and reusable software component definitions for product lines. - Define and execute controlled engineering change processes. - Own assigned software items, guiding development, integration, and verification. - Conduct trade studies and support system development activities. - Communicate technical concepts and architectures to diverse stakeholder levels. **Required Skills:** - Requirements engineering (DOORS, DOORS NG, Rhapsody or similar). - Functional design and requirement flow‑down expertise. - Engineering change control & configuration management. - Strong written and verbal communication; stakeholder management. - Trade‑study execution and systems analysis. - Familiarity with modular product line architectures. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). - Relevant certifications (e.g., INCOSE CSEP/ASEP, DOORS/IBM Rational certification) desirable but not mandatory.
