**Job Title:** Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Develop and maintain AI‑enhanced services and user-facing features for a behavioural data platform, collaborating closely with product, design, and cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver production‑ready solutions that drive user impact and shape the new team's technical architecture and culture. **Expectations:** - Hands‑on product‑oriented engineering mindset with full ownership from ideation to launch. - Clean, well‑tested, high‑quality code delivered at a rapid pace without compromising stability. - Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders. - Ability to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and iterate based on user feedback. - Curiosity and knowledge of current AI tools and trends; willingness to experiment and ship incremental improvements. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Design, build, and release AI‑enhanced services and features, ensuring robustness and scalability. 2. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand problems and create pragmatic, high‑impact solutions. 3. Integrate and experiment with AI capabilities (e.g., agentic coding, smart workflows, summarisation) and refine offerings through real‑world feedback loops. 4. Own quality throughout the cycle: unit/integration testing, automated observability, performance tuning, and reliability hardening. 5. Contribute to the emerging team’s architecture, coding standards, and engineering culture. 6. Ensure compliance with security, quality, and safety policies. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in an object‑oriented language (Python, Java, or C#). - Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL). - Strong communication and cross‑team collaboration abilities. - Proven ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions. - Current awareness of AI tools and industry developments. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Certifications in cloud services (AWS, Azure), AI frameworks, or software engineering principles are a plus.
