About the Company

At Nickel Digital Asset Management we are offering institutional investors secure, efficient and transparent access to growth opportunities in the digital asset market. This unique market delivers uncorrelated returns, hence improving the diversification of institutional portfolios.

Nickel was founded by fixed income arbitrage and investment management veterans who brought multiyear experience from major Wall Street banks, including Bankers Trust, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and Deutsche Bank, as well as a number of multi-billion hedge funds. This experience is complemented by academic background in mathematics, econometrics and engineering with degrees from Wharton, LSE, and the University of Oxford.

The Firm manages assets for institutional investors using market-neutral arbitrage strategies, exploiting volatility swings, market inefficiencies and price dislocations. We are targeting consistent absolute returns within a strictly-defined risk framework.

We believe that through portfolio diversification, this new asset class is able to significantly improve the efficient frontier of underlying portfolios.

Job Description

**Job title:** Portfolio Analyst **Role Summary:** Analyze and monitor multifirm digital‑asset strategies within a multi‑manager hedge fund; support Co‑CIOs and Pod managers in portfolio oversight, risk management, and performance evaluation. **Expectations:** - Deliver rigorous quantitative analysis to drive alpha optimization. - Act as primary liaison between Pod managers and the investment leadership. - Independently manage large datasets and contribute to decision‑making on Pod selection and strategy adjustments. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate with Co‑CIOs to oversee fund operations and performance. - Coordinate daily interactions with Pod managers: monitor activity, analyze trade execution, and provide actionable insights. - Conduct detailed quantitative assessments of pod strategies, risk metrics, and P&L. - Participate in due diligence and selection of new and existing Pods. - Maintain comprehensive data repositories and analytical documentation. **Required Skills:** - Proficient in Python (intermediate level or higher). - Strong mathematical and statistical modelling abilities (volatility, correlation, Monte‑Carlo simulations, VaR). - Experience with large databases and data manipulation. - Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and independent work capabilities. - Effective communication and stakeholder management. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in STEM or Economics from a university of recognized academic standing (e.g., Russell Group or equivalent). - (Optional) Additional certifications in quantitative finance, data science, or related fields are a plus.
