Job Title: VBA & Power BI Engineer
Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain VBA macros and Power BI dashboards to automate business processes, optimize reporting, and support decision‑making. Ensure data quality, tool performance, security, and reliability while providing technical documentation and end‑user training.
Expectations: Deliver robust, automated solutions that meet business requirements, maintain high data integrity, and continuously improve existing tools. Collaborate with IT, data, and business stakeholders to anticipate future needs and support scalable analytics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop advanced VBA macros, forms, and Excel automations to streamline business workflows.
- Build, publish, and manage Power BI dashboards, including data collection, modeling, DAX measures, and visualizations.
- Use Power Query to clean, transform, and consolidate data from multiple sources.
- Design decision‑support tools and basic predictive analytics leveraging integrated data sets.
- Ensure tool performance, security, and reliability through testing and monitoring.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation; train end users on new features and best practices.
- Collaborate with IT, data, and business teams to refine processes and capture future requirements.
- Provide ongoing maintenance, incident management, and continuous improvement of existing solutions.
Required Skills:
- Advanced VBA development in Excel (macros, forms, automation).
- Power BI proficiency: dashboard design, data modeling, DAX, report publishing.
- Power Query expertise for data cleaning and transformation.
- SQL database querying and data extraction.
- Advanced Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, automation).
- API integration experience (Outlook, SAP, PLM, etc.).
- Project management: requirements analysis, solution design, unit testing, validation, documentation.
- Strong analytical mindset, detail orientation, business‑needs understanding.
- Autonomous, proactive, excellent communication, pedagogical ability, curiosity, continuous improvement focus.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Fundamentals or Microsoft Certified: Power BI Associate (preferred).
- Advanced Excel/VBA certification optional.
