Job Description
Director Physical Security **Role Summary**: Develop, implement, and oversee enterprise-wide physical security strategies to protect personnel, assets, facilities, and sensitive information. Lead cross-functional collaborations, manage security technologies, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate threat assessments. Maintain proactive risk mitigation aligned with corporate objectives. **Expactations**: 10+ years progressive experience in cybersecurity, physical security, or military operations; 5+ years managing multi-site security programs. Requires advanced expertise in security systems (CCTV, access control), regulatory compliance (FBI CJIS, OSHA), and incident management. Strong leadership in crisis response and risk assessment. **Key Responsibilities**: - Develop and execute enterprise physical security strategies. - Lead regional/site-specific security teams via stakeholder collaboration. - Conduct risk assessments, crisis planning, and incident response protocols. - Partner with Legal, HR, IT, and Facilities to enforce compliance (OSHA, HIPAA, PCI-DSS). - Manage vendor relationships for security technology deployment/maintenance. - Coordinate with law enforcement for threat analysis and investigations. - Track emerging security trends, technologies, and public safety updates. - Present security metrics and strategic improvements to executive leadership. **Required Skills**: - Expertise in physical security systems (access control, alarms). - Proficiency in incident management platforms and risk assessment tools. - Knowledge of ASIS/ISO 27001 standards and regulatory frameworks. - Strong leadership, cross-functional communication, and stakeholder negotiation. - Conflict resolution, crisis communication, and strategic analysis. - Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). **Required Education & Certifications**: - Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field (equivalent experience accepted). - Certifications in security audit, investigation, or compliance (preferred). - Knowledge of labor laws, ethical standards, and continuous improvement practices.
