About the job:
NOTE: We are aiming to fill Duty Control Officer positions in two duty locations Mons, Belgium, and Brunssum, The Netherlands.
Based in one of the mentioned locations, you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join the Enterprise Service Operations Centre (ESOC) that controls, conducts and manages day-to-day activities delivering IT services to customers enabling them to conduct their missions. ESOC provides up to level 2 support, end-to-end visibility (from identification through to incident resolution), and timely functional and managerial reporting and escalation.
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Duty Control Officer who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:
Oversees the healthy state of all NCIA managed NATO networks, systems and services, ensuring day-to-day 24/7 CIS operations support;
Coordinates and controls Service Operations activities, providing 24/7 control of the NCIA managed systems and services;
Provides incident management, coordination, as well as appropriate escalation; following established processes for all NCIA managed services to support operations and exercises;
Has operational control over technical staff in the context of incident management, and supervises appropriate incident management progression within the agreed resolution times, coordinating with Subject Matter Experts in directing corrective actions to restore services as soon as possible;
Determine the IT Incidents priority, in coordination with the relevant Customer Representatives, in case of deviation from the standard classification provided into the SLAs.

About you:
The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:
A minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience;
Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCIA, that is, at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post;
Extensive experience with static NATO telecommunications and information systems and familiarity with deployed environments;
CIS operational experience in identifying and resolving complex problems and assignments, able to determine when problems should be escalated to a higher level;
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Utilises and maintains standard operating procedures, processes and support documentation;
Establishes strong working relations with customers and team members;
Advices, assists and manages a team of 15 to 30 technicians.

About you:
The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:
Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 3 years post-related experience or a secondary educational qualification with 5 years post-related experience;
Extensive experience in performing user administration in MS Active Directory and Exchange;
Experience of Outlook configuration and administration and troubleshooting in an MS exchange environment;
Extensive experience in end user support in general;
Customer focus and service orientation as well as highly effective interpersonal skills in dealing with demanding customers under high workload;
Experience of Outlook configuration and administration and troubleshooting in an MS exchange environment;
Extensive knowledge of and experience in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of OS Windows, MS Office, Visio, MS Project and Internet Explorer;
Experience in the installation and maintenance of mobile computing solutions (e.g. VPN access, Notebooks, Remote Access and WLAN);
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
