Job Title: Development Manager Role Summary: Lead planning, environmental, and grid coordination for renewable energy projects through early-stage development to lender-ready standards, ensuring alignment with engineering, grid requirements, and financial close. Expactations: 12-month renewable contract with proven track record in UK infrastructure or energy project planning consents and grid connection processes. Key Responsibilities: - Manage planning, environmental permitting, and statutory consultations to secure lender-acceptable consents. - Coordinate engineering, environmental, and grid inputs to align technical design with planning and regulatory requirements. - Oversee grid connection applications, interfaces with DNOs/NESO/Transmission Owners, and compliance with grid code obligations. - Procure, manage, and coordinate external consultants in engineering, planning, environmental, and land disciplines. - Maintain project documentation and data rooms for investor/lender due diligence and financial close readiness. - Mitigate development risks and resolve technical/planning issues across project portfolios. Required Skills: - Expertise in UK planning, environmental assessment, and grid connection processes. - Multidisciplinary coordination of engineering, environmental, and regulatory requirements. - Stakeholder management with statutory bodies, DNOs/NESO, investors, and lenders. - Contract/procurement expertise for consultants and technical tendering. - Risk management and problem-solving in complex infrastructure development.
