Job Description
Job title: Azure Data Architect / Engineering Consultant Role Summary: Senior consultant responsible for designing, building, and delivering a cloud‑native, enterprise‑scale data platform on Azure. The platform ingests, processes, stores, and visualises operational telemetry to enable real‑time monitoring, alerting, and trend analysis across engineering, analytics, asset operations, and trading functions. Expectations: - Full ownership of the end‑to‑end platform lifecycle (discovery, architecture, implementation, handover). - Deliver a modular, multi‑tenant lake‑house solution that meets performance, security, and governance standards. - Mentor internal engineering and analytics teams, embedding best practices and ensuring transition to product ownership. - Maintain project scope within 6‑12 month engagement while evaluating opportunities for broader infrastructure upgrade. Key Responsibilities: - Lead technical discovery sessions with data, trading, and operations stakeholders to capture requirements. - Define architectural vision, design decisions, and implementation roadmap for Azure‑native services. - Design and implement batch and streaming pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Spark Structured Streaming. - Implement secure, scalable storage with Delta Lake and Azure Data Lake Gen2; model time‑series data in Azure Data Explorer or equivalent. - Apply Medallion architecture principles; manage schema evolution, data validation, metadata, lineage, and observability. - Establish access controls, encryption, cost‑monitoring, and governance policies following Azure best practices. - Produce comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, pipelines, operational procedures and handover guides. - Mentor and upskill internal data engineers and analysts; create coding standards, design patterns, and operational workflows. Required Skills: - Proven delivery of large‑scale Azure data platforms (Data Lake Gen2, Synapse, Databricks, Event Hubs, IoT Hub). - Deep expertise in lake‑house architecture, real‑time and batch processing, and telemetry/IoT pipelines. - Proficient in Spark (Structured Streaming), Delta Lake, Parquet, SQL, Python. - Experience with time‑series databases (Azure Data Explorer, InfluxDB, TimescaleDB). - Strong governance, security, cost‑optimisation, and observability practices. - Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and mentor junior staff. - Experience in energy, grid operations, or industrial IoT highly desirable. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Certified Microsoft Azure Data Engineer (DP‑203) or equivalent. - Additional certifications in Azure Architecture or Data Lake preferred.

**Job Title** Lead Civil Engineer – Lead Civil Works Engineer **Role Summary** Senior civil engineer responsible for the design, tendering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of offshore foundations, drainage, cable culverts, and earthing systems for a large-scale energy infrastructure project in the North Sea. **Expectations** - Lead multi‑disciplinary project teams and external contractors through all project phases. - Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards, acting as the safety lead. - Deliver projects on time and within budget, providing clear cost, schedule, and progress reporting. - Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, contractual, and delivery risks. - Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory authorities. - Manage the contractor and detailed design activities while ensuring alignment with project interfaces. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Oversee civil works design, detailing, and construction of foundations, drainage, cable culverts, and earthing systems. 2. Develop and execute the European tender strategy, lead procurement and negotiate with contractors and suppliers. 3. Manage the appointed Civil Works Contractor, ensuring adherence to design specifications, construction methodologies, and interface requirements. 4. Act as the project safety lead, enforcing safety policies and facilitating safety inductions and audits. 5. Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, project control, and external consultants to maintain project integration. 6. Provide accurate cost, schedule, and progress reports to senior management and stakeholders. 7. Execute risk management activities, identifying and mitigating technical, contractual, and delivery risks throughout the project lifecycle. **Required Skills** - Civil engineering knowledge with 5+ years of infrastructure or offshore project delivery experience. - Proven construction management experience in offshore, marine, or remote sites. - Strong understanding of European tendering and contract management processes. - Leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across disciplines. - Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Dutch an advantage. - Demonstrated ability to manage safety, environmental, and quality standards in large engineering projects. **Required Education & Certifications** - Degree in Civil Engineering (Bachelor or Master). - Minimum of 5 years post‑qualification experience in civil/offshore infrastructure delivery. - Familiarity with European contract classifications (EPC, Design‑Build, etc.) is essential. - Certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are highly desirable but not mandatory.
