**Job title** Software Engineer – Java Full Stack, Futures Engineering **Role Summary** Design and develop enterprise‑grade microservices for a cleared derivatives back‑office platform, while contributing to the front‑end using ReactJS. Deliver scalable, secure, and performant solutions on a containerized, cloud‑native stack. **Expectations** * 3+ years of professional Java development; 2+ years in a financial/FCM or broker‑dealer environment. * Proven ability to build event‑driven microservices, RESTful APIs, and real‑time data pipelines. * Demonstrated experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes), CI/CD, and cloud services. **Key Responsibilities** * Architect, code, test, and deploy Java microservices; integrate event streams via Apache Kafka. * Build and maintain RESTful APIs; optimize for performance, security, and reliability. * Develop UI components in ReactJS, ensuring seamless integration with back‑end services. * Deploy and manage applications in Kubernetes clusters; support high availability and scaling. * Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD pipeline upkeep. * Provide technical support and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on solution design. **Required Skills** * Core Java (multithreading, design patterns, performance tuning). * Microservices architecture; experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling. * Event streaming with Apache Kafka; NoSQL with MongoDB or AWS DocumentDB. * Search/indexing (Apache Solr), distributed coordination (ZooKeeper), secrets management (HashiCorp Vault). * Front‑end: ReactJS or equivalent JavaScript framework. * Monitoring (Datadog) and cloud familiarity (AWS preferred). * Agile/Scrum methodology; strong debugging and problem‑solving. * Excellent communication and teamwork. **Required Education & Certifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. * Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Java SE Certification) preferred but not mandatory.
