**Job Title**
Django Full Stack Developer (Geospatial Focus)
**Role Summary**
Senior Full‑Stack Django engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining web and mobile applications with a strong geospatial component. Works remotely, collaborating with product, design, and data teams in an Agile environment.
**Expactations**
- Minimum 8 years of full‑stack development experience, including at least 1 year on cartographic or GPS projects.
- Proven ability to deliver scalable, high‑performance geospatial solutions.
- Strong analytical mindset, meticulous code quality, and independent problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication in French and/or English.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, develop, and maintain Python/Django web and mobile applications using PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
- Integrate and manipulate GIS and GPS data (GeoJSON, Shapefile, KML, GPX).
- Build efficient REST/GraphQL APIs for geospatial data exchange.
- Implement advanced interactive mapping features with Leaflet, Mapbox, or OpenLayers.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (design, product, data) in Agile/Scrum workflows.
- Ensure code quality through unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and comprehensive documentation.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and SQL/PostGIS query efficiency.
**Required Skills**
- **Backend:** Python, Django, Django Rest Framework, PostgreSQL with PostGIS.
- **Frontend:** JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js (or equivalent), GIS mapping libraries.
- **GIS Knowledge:** Spatial projections, geospatial data formats, GIS concepts.
- **DevOps:** Git, Docker, CI/CD, basic cloud services (AWS, OVH, Scaleway).
- **Methodology:** Agile/Scrum, project management tools (Jira, Trello).
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Geographic Information Systems, or related field.
- No mandatory certifications required, but relevant experience with Django, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, and geospatial tools is essential.
