Job Description
Job Title: Legal Team Assistant Role Summary: Support the legal team by handling administrative tasks, maintaining case files, managing calendars, and preparing legal documents. Provide efficient, confidential assistance to ensure smooth operations across multiple practice areas. Expectations: - Deliver accurate and timely support to attorneys. - Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. - Adapt to changing priorities and meet critical deadlines. - Demonstrate proactive problem‑solving and strong teamwork. Key Responsibilities: - Organise and schedule meetings, court dates, and client appointments. - Draft, proofread, and file legal correspondence, memoranda, and pleadings. - Manage electronic and physical case file systems, ensuring files are up‑to‑date. - Coordinate communication with clients, courts, and external parties. - Assist with research and preparation of briefing documents. - Maintain and update litigation calendars, docket entries, and status reports. - Support billing and time‑entry processes as required. Required Skills: - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. - High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. - Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and standard legal management software. - Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently or collaboratively. - Basic understanding of legal terminology and processes. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field preferred. - Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) or paralegal certification is advantageous. ---
