Job Description
**Job Title:** Security Engineer **Role Summary:** Install, maintain, and support intruder detection, access control, and CCTV systems for corporate and commercial clients. Provide on‑site service, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to callouts on a rotational basis. **Expectations:** - Minimum 2 years’ experience with intruder detection systems. - Minimum 1 year’s experience with access control and CCTV systems. - Solid working knowledge of IP/IT networks. - Full driving licence. - Excellent communication, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills. **Key Responsibilities:** - Execute installation of intruder detection, access control, and CCTV equipment. - Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on security systems. - Respond to on‑call service requests (approximately one week in four). - Ensure installations meet safety and industry standards. - Maintain accurate documentation of installations, tests, and maintenance. - Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve system issues. **Required Skills:** - Technical expertise in intruder detection, access control, and CCTV technologies. - Network configuration and troubleshooting skills for IP/IT environments. - Proficiency in using tools, ladders, PPE, and safety equipment. - Strong communication, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities. - Valid full driving licence. **Required Education & Certifications:** - (Desirable) IPAF, PASMA, CSCS, or asbestos awareness certification.
