Job Description

As a SCADA & Control System IT Engineer, you will leverage your strong technical background in the IT field to contribute to the design of advanced control systems for electrical transmission and distribution networks. Your expertise will focus on crucial IT aspects required for the successful implementation of these applications. You will actively participate in analyzing IT specifications related to the platform we utilize.

This role, you will be responsible for the technical development of projects catering to utility clients. Your projects will primarily involve the creation of comprehensive Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for high and medium voltage electrical networks. Our operations extend both locally and internationally, with a focus on serving various regions, including French-speaking African countries.

Your scope of work will encompass a diverse set of responsibilities, including the design of SCADA systems with advanced electrical functions, local control command systems, telecommunication networks, as well as the development and implementation of highly specialized IT applications tailored to meet specific client needs.

Throughout the project lifecycle, you will collaborate with the engineering team and be actively involved in various phases, including conceptualization, functional analysis, software development, hardware configuration, testing, site supervision, and commissioning.

Technical design of the SCADA systems in the design office: 35%.
Tests, commissioning, interventions on customer premises, in Belgium or abroad: 30%.
IT support for the technical and development team: 25%.
Preparation of quotations: 10%.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in electricity or computer science
Professional experience in the IT field and knowledge of programming languages (Python, C++, C, Java, etc.) are required
Interest and knowledge in database management and interfaces with various IT applications are major assets
Knowledge of Linux operating systems is required.
Knowledge of communication networks in the Energy Management domain (Ethernet TCP/IP, ModBus, IEC-60870-10x protocols, IEC 61850 protocol) is a plus
Knowledge of the electricity transmission or distribution industry is advantageous
Flexibility for international travel is required
Essential language skills: French, Dutch, English
Being autonomous and proactive
Client orientation
Good communication skills and an interest in teamwork

You will join a team as a specialist in electric drivetrain development.

You will :
Be the technical face towards the customer, eliciting the needs and presenting the solution.
Be responsible for different elements of the V-cycle, going from requirements specification to realization. To accomplish this, you are the product owner of the attributes/systems engineering team within the project.
Work closely together with motor, inverter and mechanical specialists, trading off different concepts to realize an optimum solution
Build or supervise the implementation of numerical models and perform functional and performance modelling using Matlab/Simulink or specialist tools.
Keep an open mind, enabling the team to develop innovative concepts with unique properties
Build up a good professional relation, with internal and external actors •
Work in the product development department for EV drive systems
Work with processes and automotive quality process standards

Your profile:

Master or PhD in Electr-Mechanical Engineering
+ 10 years experience as a specialist in electric powertrain design
Well-established experience in automotive is mandatory
You have the ability and drive to develop new cutting edge solutions and ‘out of the box’ thinking

Job Description

Responsable des études relatives aux équipements électriques de protection, de contrôle-commande, d'automatismes et de mesure des installations Haute Tension du réseau électrique.


- Assister le chef de projet en phase de faisabilité ou de pré-études du projet.
- En phase d'études, élaborer et réaliser les études de conception et de détails, plus particulièrement :
Organiser et gérer le planning de vos études en terme de priorités et délivrables ;
Elaborer les schémas-blocs de protection et les schémas détaillés de principe ;
Participer à la définition et au choix du matériel ;
Veiller à la qualité des études moyennant utilisation d'équipements agréés et conformément aux normes, standards et méthodologies,… ;
Evaluer et particulariser les standards pour le cas concrets à étudier ;
Effectuer un contrôle sur la qualité des études de détails réalisées en externe ;
Veiller au contrôle des documents constructeurs ;
Participer, au besoin, aux essais de réception en usine des équipements électriques.

- En phase de réalisation, assurer, en assistance du chef de projet, le suivi des travaux Basse Tension sur site, à savoir :
Garantir pour sa spécialité le contact avec l'exploitant, les fournisseurs et les entreprises de montage électrique ;
Intervenir et apporter une solution en cas de problèmes de conception ou de mise en œuvre sur site ;
Participer, au besoin, aux réunions de chantier traitant les aspects techniques ainsi qu'aux essais sur site et mises en service des installations.
En phase de clôture du projet, mener le débriefing relatif aux études BT et garantir les mises As Built des schémas.

For one of our clients active in the automotive industry, and located in Flanders we are seeking a highly skilled Test Rig Engineer - NDTS to join a dynamic team.
As an NVH Test Rig Engineer, your primary focus will be on the NVH test rig, ensuring the execution of component and system tests to assess NVH performance for conventional, hybrid, and electric powertrains.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

Operate and develop one of the most advanced NVH test rigs in the region, conducting tests to evaluate the NVH performance for conventional, hybrid, and electric powertrains.
Take ownership of assigned test rigs, ensuring high-quality operation, routine maintenance, necessary upgrades, and continuous efficiency improvements.
Act as the primary contact for operational issues, resolving problems systematically to prevent recurrence.
Develop and improve tests on test bench platforms such as PUMA and CANape, focusing on innovation and precision in performance evaluation.
Collaborate closely with test engineering, NVH engineering, test rig operators, and various R&D departments to execute and optimize testing processes.
Develop tools and documentation to standardize and ensure consistent operation across all test rigs by setting and using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enhance testing quality and efficiency.
You will be working in the R&D Test Center department in customer's premises where automatic transmissions, hybrid and full electric prototype powertrains are assembled and validated.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

Engineering degree that shows interest for mechatronic systems.
Basic knowledge of control theory, structural dynamics, NVH, and high voltage applications is essential.
Programming background is required.
Knowledge of automotive testing, sensors, data acquisition, test equipment and electro mechanics is an asset.
You will play a vital role in coordinating efforts among various teams, including test engineering, NVH engineering, and R&D departments, to achieve seamless and efficient testing operations.
This role demands a proactive, innovative, and structured approach to ensure the reliability and continuous improvement of advanced NVH testing capabilities.
Thanks to your structured way of working, together with clear communication skills and good knowledge of English, you are continuously on the look-out for improvements and is committed to implement them.
