**Job Title:** Head of Software Development
**Role Summary:**
Lead the design and delivery of an end‑to‑end software ecosystem (cloud, mobile, API, IoT) for an EV charging platform. Own architectural decisions, engineering standards, and full production lifecycle while managing a small, high‑performing dev team.
**Expectations:**
- 5+ years of software development, 2+ in senior/lead roles.
- Proven ownership of complex product delivery from requirement to production.
- Strong technical depth in cloud, full stack, and DevOps practices.
- Demonstrated team leadership, mentorship, and motivating high‑performance culture.
- Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Technical Leadership & Architecture** – Drive architecture for cloud, mobile, and API layers; make critical design decisions with engineering leadership.
2. **Code Quality & Review** – Oversee PR reviews, enforce coding standards, and provide final technical sign‑off for releases.
3. **Infrastructure Oversight** – Own deployment, monitoring, and operational stability on AWS (ECS, Lambda, IoT Core, etc.) and GCP (Cloud Functions, BigQuery, etc.).
4. **Project & Workflow Management** – Define and track tasks in JIRA, maintain documentation in Confluence, and manage release schedules.
5. **Quality Assurance** – Establish testing strategy, manage test cases (TestRail), and enforce API testing standards (Postman).
6. **Mentoring & Standards** – Coach developers, enforce best practices, and support career growth.
7. **Hands‑On Coding** – Serve as senior contributor on key projects while balancing managerial duties.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficiency in Typescript, Node.js, PHP (Laravel/Nova), Express.js / Next.js, React, React Native, Python, SQL, Postgres, Redis.
- Advanced cloud infrastructure skills: AWS (ECS, Lambda, IoT Core, Redshift, CodeBuild, CloudWatch, Cognito) and GCP (Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Firebase, Pub/Sub).
- Expert in Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and API testing (Postman).
- JIRA and Confluence administration experience.
- Strong architectural design, system performance, and scalability expertise.
- Excellent communication, mentorship, and stakeholder collaboration.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- Optional: Certified cloud architecture (AWS Solution Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect), PMP, or ISTQB/ISO testing certifications.
