Job title: Internship – Reference Simulation for Fluidized Catalytic Cracking Process (FCC/RFCC) Role Summary: Assist in developing an updated reference simulation file for FCC/RFCC units using Aveva Pro/II. Support optimization of simulation models for fractionation, gas plant, and sour water sections, and evaluate performance against existing models. Expectations: Deliver a fully functional simulation (.inp and .prz) that improves pressure balance, thermal integration, and maintainability. Demonstrate knowledge of heat and mass balances, convergence behavior, and execution efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Build new master simulation for FCC and RFCC processes and gas/fractionation units. - Integrate sour water simulation into the model. - Compare numerical results, convergence, run time, and maintainability against legacy simulations. - Participate in testing campaigns, method validation, and project documentation. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on technical solutions and milestones. Required Skills: - Proficiency in Aveva Pro/II (text‑based .inp and graphical .prz files). - Strong understanding of chemical process simulation, heat & mass balance, and process integration. - Ability to analyze simulation outputs, troubleshoot convergence issues, and propose improvements. - Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; French proficiency is a plus. - Teamwork and cross‑cultural collaboration capabilities.
