The skeyes air traffic controllers manage over 3,000 aircraft every day, which makes up over a million flight movements per year. The autonomous public company is active at the heart of Europe, in one of the busiest and most complex sections of airspace of the continent.

skeyes is active at Brussels Airport and at the airports of Antwerp, Charleroi, Kortrijk, Liege and Ostend. Thanks to its CANAC 2 control centre skeyes manages the flight movements above Belgium and a part of Luxembourg up to an altitude of 7,500 metres.

Job Description
Job title: Automation Systems Technician – Aviation ATC Role Summary: Maintain, optimise, and monitor aviation automation (ATM) systems, ensuring safety and reliability for air traffic control. Execute preventive and corrective maintenance, and support the installation and upgrade of new systems. Expectations: Work rotating 24/7 shift cycles alternating with day‑shift weeks; undergo National Security Authority screening; hold strong English proficiency (Dutch or French preferred); possess a valid driver’s licence; receive on‑the‑job training if required. Key Responsibilities - Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on radar data and flight‑plan processing systems. - Monitor ATM operations continuously within the Technical Watch Center. - Detect and analyse system anomalies, coordinating timely interventions. - Assist the installation and integration of new equipment and technologies. - Participate in project teams implementing new aviation solutions. - Operate independently while contributing effectively to a team environment. Required Skills - Technical troubleshooting and maintenance of avionics/automation systems. - Proficiency in Linux and IT networking fundamentals. - Strong problem‑prevention orientation and analytical thinking. - Calm, focused under pressure with excellent attention to detail. - Proactive, self‑directed work ethic and good teamwork skills. - Effective communication in English; additional Dutch or French is an advantage. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in IT, electronics, or a related technical field (equivalent experience acceptable). - Valid driver’s licence. - Completion of required security screening.
