Job Description

**Job Title:** SEND Teaching Assistant **Role Summary:** Provide one-to-one support for a primary child with SEND needs awaiting an EHCP and Autism diagnosis, focusing on academic engagement, emotional well-being, and self-care. **Expectations:** - Available September 2025 to December 2025 to ensure consistent support. - Ability to work autonomously with a single student. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver individualized academic and emotional support to a primary student with diverse SEND needs. - Assist during lessons with self-care and emotional regulation strategies. - Take initiative in planning and implementing tailored activities. **Required Skills:** - Experience and confidence in one-to-one child support, particularly with SEND needs. - Prior educational experience; ability to work independently. - Capacity to provide two references (educational background preferred). - Valid Enhanced DBS check (current or in process). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Level 2 qualification in education or related field. - Must hold or apply for Enhanced DBS certification.
