Job Description

**Job Title:** Java Developer **Role Summary:** Skilled Java professional with 5‑10 years of hands‑on experience delivering robust, microservices‑based solutions. Works in a hybrid environment, collaborating on RESTful APIs, reactive programming, and event‑driven architectures. Contributes to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and continuous improvement of data platforms. **Expectations:** - 5–10 years of Java 8+ development experience. - Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain microservices and reactive systems. - Comfortable with hybrid work (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). - Willingness to acquire or deepen knowledge of GoLang as needed. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain Java microservices using reactive frameworks (e.g., Vert.x). - Build and consume RESTful APIs with asynchronous, event‑driven patterns. - Integrate messaging/streaming solutions such as Kafka. - Work with PostgreSQL and other relational/NoSQL databases for data access and persistence. - Create and maintain BDD test suites (Cucumber) and support automated testing. - Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver high‑quality code. **Required Skills:** - Java 8+ (core language and ecosystem). - Microservices architecture and reactive programming (Vert.x preferred). - RESTful API design, asynchronous programming, event‑driven design. - Message/stream processing (Kafka or equivalent). - SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, others). - BDD testing frameworks (Cucumber). - CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub). - Basic understanding of GoLang or ability to learn quickly. - Version control (Git). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional Java SE, Kubernetes, or Cloud certifications) are a plus but not mandatory.
