Expectations
- Deliver a clear multi‑cloud strategy with Google Cloud as the primary compute engine and governed cross‑region architecture.
- Own operational scaling, resilience, observability, cost optimisation, and security posture across the platform.
- Drive cultural change toward continuous improvement, proactive incident response, and developer‑first platform experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect transition to Google Cloud; establish multi‑region, globally resilient infrastructure.

- Build hyper‑automated CI/CD pipelines with GitOps, automated rollbacks, canaries, and integrated security gates.
- Deploy centralized observability with anomaly detection and predictive incident response, including chaos engineering practices.
- Champion proactive cost and FinOps initiatives: automated budget alerts, license management, decommissioning, and renewal optimisation.
- Create a scalable team topology that separates Core Infrastructure and Developer Experience, ensuring clear ownership and efficient product‑platform collaboration.
- Lead the rollout of advanced tooling, coding assistants, and GenAI co‑pilot solutions to boost developer productivity.
Required Skills

- Familiarity with GenAI tools for developer productivity (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Gemini).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team‑building skills.
- Demonstrated success in driving engineering culture change toward continuous improvement and ownership.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or equivalent cloud certification strongly preferred.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (or equivalent) preferred.
