Job Description
**Job title** Senior Contracts Manager **Role Summary** Lead and manage all contractual and construction activities for ground engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with health, safety, and quality standards. Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, supervise subcontractor performance, and interface with project managers and stakeholders to support project progression from concept through hand‑over. **Expectations** - 10–15 years of experience in ground engineering or civil construction. - Strong background in contract negotiation, project management, and team leadership. - Ability to operate independently while collaborating with cross‑functional leaders. - Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills. - Proficiency in architectural and engineering software is advantageous; BIM knowledge preferred. **Key Responsibilities** - Oversee project teams during construction and installation phases. - Coordinate constructability input during solutions identification and development. - Allocate construction resources based on skill requirements and project workload. - Liaise with Project Managers to maintain an appropriately sized and skilled resource pool. - Manage performance of subcontractors, ensuring adherence to schedules and man‑hour budgets. - Enforce compliance with Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations, and quality procedures. - Facilitate collaboration with internal functional leaders from solution development to commissioning and hand‑over. - Provide input on third‑party, environmental, and public relations issues. - Negotiate contracts, tenders, and change orders with suppliers and clients. - Monitor and report on contract performance, risks, and financials. **Required Skills** - Contract negotiation and management. - Construction project management and scheduling. - Leadership and team coordination. - Knowledge of CDM regulations, health and safety standards, and quality assurance processes. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Effective written and verbal communication. - Familiarity with BIM, digital construction tools, and site monitoring systems. **Required Education & Certifications** - Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred). - Professional engineering registration or equivalent (e.g., Chartered Engineer, CPD). - Industry‑specific certifications in contract management, safety, or BIM are advantageous. ---
