**Job Title:** Infrastructure Lead – England & Wales
**Role Summary:**
Senior leader responsible for driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and delivery of large‑scale infrastructure projects across rail, aviation, highways, utilities, defence, and energy sectors. Partners with senior directors and national leaders to define portfolio strategy, oversee execution, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

- Provide visionary leadership for the regional infrastructure portfolio.
- Achieve project delivery targets on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Foster high‑performing, cross‑functional teams and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and sustainability requirements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Define and implement infrastructure strategy for England & Wales.
- Lead planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases of multi‑disciplinary projects.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, risk registers, and performance metrics.
- Coordinate with senior executives, government agencies, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Oversee contract negotiations, vendor selection, and supplier performance.
- Monitor and report portfolio progress to senior leadership and board-level committees.
- Drive operational excellence initiatives, including process optimization and cost‑reduction programs.
- Mentor and develop senior project managers and technical staff.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven leadership of complex, multi‑sector infrastructure programs (10+ years).
- Strong strategic planning and portfolio management capabilities.
- Advanced project management proficiency (budget >£100M, multi‑year timelines).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of rail, aviation, highways, utilities, defence, and energy infrastructure.
- Risk management, financial analysis, and governance expertise.
- Ability to navigate regulatory environments and sustainability standards.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Professional engineering qualification (e.g., Chartered Engineer) or equivalent.
- Recognized project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or similar).
- Additional certifications in health & safety, ESG, or sector‑specific standards are advantageous.
