**Job Title** Software Engineer (Level 2) **Role Summary** Build and maintain scalable, cloud‑native services for a high‑traffic online travel agency. Focus on supplier integration, search & recommendation, pricing, booking, payment, fulfillment, and AI‑enabled features, ensuring high reliability, observability and performance. **Expectations** - Deliver well‑tested, maintainable code with a focus on business impact and observability. - Collaborate across engineering, design and product teams. - Continuously improve delivery speed and system quality. - Adopt and promote engineering principles company‑wide. **Key Responsibilities** - Integrate supplier data systems and process transactional data at scale. - Develop, enhance and maintain search, recommendation, and real‑time pricing services. - Contribute to booking, payment, fulfillment and management system designs. - Build AI‑powered solutions and integrate them into production workflows. - Design modern web and mobile experiences (frontend and backend). - Implement robust observability, testing, reliability, and monitoring across services. - Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions and knowledge sharing. - Scale services on Google Cloud Platform, utilizing containers and CI/CD pipelines. **Required Skills** - Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures. - Experience with RESTful web services, HTTP, and common web protocols. - Working knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (GCP preferred). - Familiarity with observability concepts, logging, metrics, and distributed tracing. - Basic testing, reliability, and monitoring practices. - Ability to write clean, maintainable code in at least one language from: TypeScript, Java, Golang, Rust, Python. - Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical discussions. - Eagerness to learn and deepen expertise in new languages and architectures. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field **or** equivalent practical experience. - Relevant cloud certification (e.g., GCP Associate Cloud Engineer) is advantageous but not mandatory.
