Job Description
**Job Title:** Business Development Manager – Romance **Role Summary:** Drive global market expansion for the Romance segment (weddings and wedding planners) within the travel agency channel. Define and execute international sales strategies, manage key partnerships, and lead commercial activities to achieve revenue targets. Remote position based in the United States. **Expectations:** - Deliver measurable sales growth and meet or exceed segment revenue goals. - Build and maintain relationships with industry associations, hotels, and trade partners. - Lead planning and execution of strategic campaigns, fairs, and events. - Manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Co‑create the global market strategy for the Romance travel‑agency segment with the Head of Sales & Marketing. 2. Implement and monitor the segment’s commercial plan, sales objectives, and action plans. 3. Prioritize and schedule strategic campaigns, industry events, and tourism fairs. 4. Manage direct relationships with key groups, associations, and partner hotels. 5. Negotiate and contract participation in trade fairs/workshops; coordinate stand design, branding, and billing. 6. Prepare and control expense budgets supporting segment objectives. 7. Track performance against targets; provide regular reporting and corrective actions. **Required Skills:** - Minimum 3 years B2B sales/business development experience, preferably in weddings, romance, or leisure travel. - Proven record of exceeding sales targets. - Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities. - Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. - Analytical, customer‑oriented mindset with decision‑making capability. - Proficiency in Salesforce or comparable CRM tools. - Positive, goal‑driven attitude; capable of working independently in a remote setting. - Native or bilingual English; additional languages highly valued. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field (or equivalent experience). - No specific certifications required; legal authorization to work in the United States is mandatory.
