Job Description
**Job Title** Commercial Manager – Purchasing & Logistics **Role Summary** Leads the procurement and logistics function for an industrial operation, ensuring cost‑effective supplier selection, timely order fulfillment, and optimal inventory levels to meet production schedules. Acts as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal teams (quality, logistics, maintenance, production) to drive purchasing performance and resolve supply issues. **Expectations** - Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing/logistics within an industrial setting. - Proven track record of supplier qualification, negotiation, and cost‑quality‑delivery optimization. - Fluent English (written and spoken). - Ability to manage end‑to‑end order cycles, anticipate material needs, and maintain just‑in‑time stock. **Key Responsibilities** - Configure purchasing parameters, monitor order status, and manage delivery deadlines. - Identify, qualify, and negotiate with new suppliers to achieve best cost‑quality‑lead‑time mix. - Collaborate closely with quality, logistics, maintenance, and production teams to align purchasing activities with operational goals. - Ensure product availability according to production planning, forecast demand, resolve supply disputes, and adjust inventory levels for JIT operations. **Required Skills** - Strategic sourcing and supplier management - Negotiation and contract management - Supply chain and inventory control (JIT) - Cross‑functional teamwork and communication - Problem solving and dispute resolution - Proficiency with ERP/purchasing software - Strong English proficiency **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent commercial school training). - Professional procurement certification (e.g., CPM, CIPS) preferred but not mandatory.
