Job Description
Job title: Sr. Software Engineer (Automation Tools) Role Summary: Senior engineer responsible for architecting and delivering QA automation tools that accelerate game development and enhance quality coverage. Works closely with QA, development, and product teams to embed automated testing and metrics throughout the build pipeline, ensuring scalable, high‑performance tooling solutions. Expactations: - Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers. - Own end‑to‑end design, implementation, and maintenance of automation tools and frameworks. - Define and enforce best practices for code quality, performance, and scalability. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and validate solutions. - Drive continuous improvement of QA strategy and metrics. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain gameplay bots, content validators, and other internal QA tools. - Integrate automation tools into build pipelines and CI/CD workflows. - Optimize code for performance across various environments and project demands. - Define and document QA advanced test strategy for all projects. - Lead solution architecture discussions and decision making. - Mentor and coach junior engineers on coding standards, tooling, and best practices. - Coordinate with QA, DevOps, and product teams to align on quality goals and delivery timelines. Required Skills: - Proficiency in C# and at least one scripting language (Python, Go, or JavaScript). - Strong experience with Unity engine and Unity‑specific tooling. - Knowledge of AWS services (S3, EC2, messaging). - Hands‑on experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity). - Proven ability to design and build internal development tools. - Experience with game bots, AI systems, and testing procedurally generated content preferred. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring abilities. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). - AWS Developer or related certification desirable but not mandatory.
