**Job Title**
Vice President, Game Engineering
**Role Summary**
Senior leadership role responsible for the direction, scale, and quality of game engineering across a mobile‑first free‑to‑play live‑service portfolio. Leads technical teams globally, sets engineering standards, optimizes workflows, and champions engineering at the executive level.

**Key Responsibilities**
1. Build and grow a high‑performance engineering organization: structure, leadership, and cross‑team collaboration.
2. Mentor and develop Technical Directors, fostering autonomous, high‑performing teams.
3. Champion engineering workflows focused on speed, ease of use, and quality.
4. Own client‑side shared technology: common frameworks, Unity integrations, and game‑side tools.
5. Enforce best practices in code quality, performance, observability, and documentation.
6. Partner with Product, Design, Art, Data, QA, and Publishing to provide proactive, solutions‑oriented engineering support.
7. Lead talent strategy: recruiting, hiring, and retaining top engineering talent.
8. Allocate resources across game teams, balancing priorities and optimizing workloads.
9. Advocate for engineering visibility and alignment in executive forums.
10. Integrate new technologies (e.g., AI) to accelerate development.
**Required Skills**
- Proven VP or senior engineering leadership in a games company delivering live/service titles.
- Experience managing Technical Directors and building leadership capacity across distributed teams.
- Deep technical credibility in Unity and multi‑platform service‑oriented game development.
- Strong understanding of the game development lifecycle, live operations, and content update pipelines.
- Excellent communication: ability to inspire, align, and influence across disciplines and cultures.
- Expertise in agile, hypothesis‑driven development, and culture of learning and iteration.
- Demonstrated ability to design organizations, optimize workflows, and integrate new technologies.
- Passion for fostering high-performing, accountable teams with craft excellence.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
