Job Description
**Job Title:** Data Protection Coordinator **Role Summary:** Support the Data Protection team by ensuring company-wide compliance with data protection legislation. Serve as the primary contact for staff and customers on data protection matters, manage Data Subject Rights (DSR) requests, triage personal data breaches, maintain compliance processes, complete audits, and develop training materials. **Expectations:** - Confident, methodical, and proactive professional. - Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. - Ability to juggle multiple complex tasks within tight deadlines. - Excellent problem‑solving and communication abilities. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Monitor and respond to incoming data protection queries via email. 2. Process Data Subject Rights Requests and document actions. 3. Triage personal data breaches, determine remedial steps, and escalates to Data Protection Officer when needed. 4. Maintain and update the Compliance Programme using ARIS, including audit workflows and remedial action tracking. 5. Coordinate audit and compliance checks across workplaces; prepare audit questions, collect findings, and follow up on corrective actions. 6. Manage the External Service Supplier Log, schedule periodic audits, and liaise with Internal Audit and Information Security teams. 7. Support international team tasks as assigned. 8. Act as primary contact for OneTrust administration queries and training requests. 9. Maintain up‑to‑date Records of Processing Activities (RoPA). 10. Create and deliver training content (e‑learning, printed, and oral) to raise data protection awareness across the business. **Required Skills:** - Practical experience with Data Subject Rights Requests and GDPR compliance. - Proficient using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Familiarity with compliance tools such as ARIS and OneTrust. - Strong analytical, organizational, and multi‑tasking capabilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - German language knowledge is desirable but not mandatory. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum of a relevant university degree or equivalent professional experience in data protection, privacy, or compliance. - Demonstrated knowledge of GDPR and UK/EU data protection legislation. - No mandatory certifications required, but GDPR or data protection training certificates are an advantage.
