Job Description

**Job Title:** Software Developer (Senior) **Role Summary:** Senior developer responsible for enhancing and creating software solutions for national infrastructure security systems. Lead testing, ensure data protection, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with installation teams for smooth handover. **Expectations:** - Deliver secure, high‑quality software that meets customer needs. - Support existing applications and develop new features. - Produce and execute test plans, including client‑witnessed testing. - Mentor developers of varying experience levels. - Travel within the UK/EU/US for customer demonstrations and system delivery. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, code, and maintain applications using .NET C#, MVC, and related technologies. - Perform fault finding, testing, and witness testing on new and existing programs. - Develop test plans and validate functionality and performance. - Collaborate with installation/commissioning teams to ensure seamless handover of released software. - Implement security measures to protect customer data (SSH, SSL, HTTPS, AES). - Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers. - Travel as required for demonstrations and support deliveries. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in .NET C# development. - Experience with SQL Server (MSSQL). - Knowledge of MVC web development. - Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server OS. - Understanding of security technologies (SSH, SSL, HTTPS, AES). - Optional: C++ development, experience with Firebird/MySQL/SQLite, and video management systems. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computing & IT/Software Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent professional experience.
