Job Title: Loans Administration Officer
Role Summary: Supports the daily operations of the loans administration function, including drawdowns, rate fixes, rollovers, fee management, loan transfers, cancellations, prepayments, and related documentation. Maintains loan product records, performs Nostro reconciliations, prepares management information and quality assurance reports, and participates in process improvement projects.
Expectations: Deliver accurate and timely loan administration services, comply with documented policies and procedures, resolve reconciliation discrepancies efficiently, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support lending operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute daily loan administration tasks: drawdowns, rate fixes, rollovers, prepayments, cancellations, transfers, fee calculations, and notice/advice issuance.
- Prepare sales, transfers, and participation documentation for loan products, including settlement and maintenance of pseudo‑agency participation loans.
- Create and post payments related to loan products in banking systems.
- Record and update facility details within the bank’s core systems.
- Conduct daily Nostro reconciliations, investigate and resolve breaks, or add commentary as needed.
- Generate and review daily management information (MI) and monthly quality assurance reports for transactions, Nostro accounts, and suspense items.
- Maintain the original documentation register and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
- Communicate with internal teams and external parties to address inquiries, issues, and process updates.
- Participate in department projects and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Support data integrity and process compliance across all loan product operations.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of loan administration processes (drawdowns, rate fixes, rollovers, fee calculations, prepayments, cancellations).
- Proficiency in banking software (core banking systems, loan management modules) and MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Accurate data entry and analytical skills for reconciling accounts and producing quality reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Attention to detail, organizational aptitude, and adherence to compliance standards.
- Problem‑solving ability and initiative for process improvement.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certification in banking (e.g., Certified Loan Officer, Associate in Commercial Finance) or equivalent experience in loan administration preferred.
