Job Description
**Job Title** Trading Application Support Specialist **Role Summary** Provide first‑line technical support for a global electronic trading platform, diagnosing and resolving client incidents, deploying solutions, and offering training. Act as the primary liaison between clients and the support team, ensuring high service quality and knowledge transfer. **Expectations** - Deliver timely, accurate issue resolution and maintain documented solutions. - Communicate proactively with clients, offering clear status updates and escalation. - Uphold service level agreements and classification standards. - Foster continuous improvement in support processes and client knowledge. **Key Responsibilities** - Analyse and troubleshoot incidents reported by brokers, banks and exchanges. - Identify root causes, implement workarounds, and document findings in the knowledge base. - Classify ticket severity, prioritise, and resolve within established SLAs. - Escalate complex issues to development or specialist teams when necessary. - Deploy product releases to client environments and verify integration. - Conduct user and IT team training sessions to maximise platform utilisation. - Maintain strong, ongoing communication with both local and international clients. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to refine support procedures. **Required Skills** - Linux system administration and troubleshooting. - Basic SQL/database knowledge and familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog). - Understanding of object‑oriented languages (Java) and APIs. - Knowledge of networking concepts and operating systems fundamentals. - Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and project‑management abilities. - Strong customer‑service orientation with compassionate communication. - Fluency in English and French (written and spoken). - Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a dynamic technical environment. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - Minimum 1–2 years of client‑service or finance experience, preferably within trading or fintech. - Certifications in Linux administration, networking, or any relevant trading system are advantageous. ---
