Job title: DevOps Coach
Role Summary:
Drive and coach IT teams toward modern engineering practices, focusing on DevOps, continuous testing, automation, security, and agile mindset. Act as a catalyst for cultural and technical transformation across international, cross‑functional engineering units.
Expactations:
1. Set and promote best engineering practices, including code quality, CI/CD, automated testing, security, and technical debt management.
2. Support teams in selecting, configuring, and adopting standard toolchains (CI/CD, integration platforms, cloud, and automation).
3. Advocate and implement shift‑left initiatives, BDD/TDD, and automation strategies.
4. Collaborate with technical/Agile coaches globally to align methodologies and share continuous improvement.
5. Engage actively in communities of practice, contributing to evolving methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach and mentor engineering, development, and QA teams on DevOps and continuous delivery practices.
- Analyze and improve existing pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Terraform, etc.) and toolchains (Maven, Gradle, npm, Docker, Sonar, Fortify, Nexus IQ).
- Facilitate adoption of security and cloud best practices within CI/CD pipelines.
- Guide teams in choosing and implementing BDD/TDD, automation strategies, and relevant tools.
- Conduct workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer with multilingual teams.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and international coaches to standardize practices and metrics.
- Track and report on progress, providing feedback loops for continuous improvement.
Required Skills:
- Deep expertise in CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD).
- Proficiency with automation and configuration tools: Docker, Terraform, Nexus IQ, Sonar, Fortify.
- Experience with Java, Angular, Python, .NET development ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and servant leadership principles.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and pedagogical abilities.
- Ability to work cross‑culturally and in distributed teams.
- Professional‑level English (written and spoken); French knowledge is a plus.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor of Science (Bac+5) or equivalent (engineering school, university, or accredited program).
- Minimum of 5 years in a technical coach, senior developer, or DevOps engineer role focused on engineering and transformation.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified DevOps Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Docker Certified Associate, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
