**Job Title:** Head of Global Strategic Procurement
**Role Summary:** Lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of a global procurement strategy that aligns with business transformation goals. Drive cost optimisation, supplier innovation, risk management, and outsourcing initiatives while ensuring governance, compliance, and data‑driven decision making across multiple regions.
**Expactations:**
- Establish and maintain a unified procurement framework for all geographies.
- Deliver measurable cost savings and value creation across major spend categories.
- Manage supplier risk, including geopolitical and supply‑chain disruption mitigation.
- Influence senior leaders in a matrix environment and champion digital procurement transformation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and implement a global strategic procurement strategy and governance model.
- Create and operationalise a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) framework: segment suppliers, develop engagement plans, conduct performance reviews, and facilitate joint business planning.
- Identify, quantify, and execute cost‑saving initiatives and process improvements.
- Lead transition to outsourcing for selected categories, managing onboarding, contracts, SLAs, and change management.
- Oversee global risk and compliance programs: supplier and supply‑chain risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and ethical standards.
- Partner with data teams to inform sourcing strategies, report performance, and drive digital tools (e‑auctions, e‑procurement platforms).
- Build, coach, and develop a high‑performing global procurement team, fostering continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Act as trusted advisor to executive leadership and regional teams on strategic sourcing and supply‑chain matters.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven global procurement leadership in complex, multi‑region, matrixed organisations.
- Experience setting and executing a strategic procurement plan aligned with transformation objectives.
- Strong strategic supplier management (SRM) expertise: segmentation, performance reviews, joint planning.
- Track record of cost optimisation and value delivery across major spend categories.
- Expertise in supplier and supply‑chain risk management, including geopolitical and disruption scenarios.
- Experience leading outsourcing initiatives: supplier selection, contracts, SLAs, operating‑model change.
- Proficiency in data analytics and digital procurement tools.
- Ability to influence senior leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders in a matrix environment.
- Leadership in building and developing high‑performing global teams.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
- Professional procurement qualifications (CIPS, ISM, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- Certifications in strategic sourcing, contract management, or supplier risk management an advantage.
- Ongoing professional development in procurement, supply chain, and leadership.
