**Job Title:** Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer (Edge Factory) – Mobile International
**Role Summary:**
Design, automate, and maintain highly resilient, scalable distributed cloud solutions for a strategic partner. Work within the Cloud & Enterprise Services (CES) organization, collaborating closely with Operations and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to deliver end‑to‑end platform deployments and continuous improvement.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver fully automated cloud infrastructure using IaC tools.
- Ensure reliability, performance, and security of production environments.
- Produce high‑quality technical documentation and deployment benchmarks.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and future cloud strategy.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Automate provisioning and configuration of cloud architectures with Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Bash.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines on GNU/Linux (Debian) environments.
- Design and execute automated test suites, including regression, chaos, and performance testing.
- Conduct benchmarks, create deployment reference models, and document processes.
- Collaborate with Operations/SRE to troubleshoot incidents and improve observability.
- Participate in the design of next‑generation cloud architectures.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong experience with CI/CD, Git, and Linux (Debian) systems.
- Proficiency in IaC (Ansible, Terraform) and scripting (Python, Bash).
- Good understanding of networking, high availability, security, and API‑REST integration.
- Ability to write technical documentation and create deployment guidelines.
- Team‑oriented, curious, and eager to learn new technologies.
- Preferred: experience with distributed architectures, JavaScript/Node.js, XMPP.
- Nice‑to‑have: monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK), virtualization/containerization (KVM, VMware, Proxmox, Kubernetes), VPN and regulated environments (data sovereignty).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Terraform Associate) are a plus but not mandatory.
