Job Description

**Job Title** Front Office Analytics Development Lead **Role Summary** Lead the design, build and support of Python‑ and SQL‑driven analytics, pricing tools, market‑data applications, and dashboards for an energy and commodities trading desk. Work directly with traders, analysts and quants to translate commercial requirements into rapid, high‑quality technical solutions and drive real‑time decision support. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑impact analytics that influence trading outcomes on a day‑to‑day basis. - Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of analytics features, from requirement gathering to deployment and maintenance. - Demonstrate commercial awareness and technical depth while maintaining a delivery‑focused mindset. **Key Responsibilities** - Collaborate with traders and analysts to capture trading requirements, diagnose issues, and deliver solutions quickly. - Lead weekly stand‑ups, ensuring clear communication and alignment across trading desks and technology teams. - Design, develop and maintain Python and SQL analytics, pricing tools and market‑data applications. - Build cloud‑hosted models, analytics services and dashboards (Tableau/BI) and lightweight UIs (e.g., React). - Work with technology teams to evolve pricing, risk and fundamental analytics platforms. - Oversee the release of market and fundamental data, ensuring accuracy, reliability and timeliness. - Evaluate and integrate new data sources from external vendors. **Required Skills** - Proven leadership experience in front‑office analytics or development within a commodities or trading environment. - Strong knowledge of commodity fundamentals, with an absolute requirement for Oil expertise; experience with Agriculture, Energy Markets and Metals is desirable. - Deep proficiency in Python (C# experience acceptable if accompanied by strong Python skills). - Advanced SQL skills for data manipulation and analytics. - Understanding of market data structures, curves, settlements and pricing workflows. - Excellent verbal and written communication; capable of working directly with traders, quants and senior stakeholders. - Practical, delivery‑oriented mindset with the ability to own problems end‑to‑end. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience). - Any relevant certifications (e.g., Bloomberg Market Concepts, Python programming certificates) are advantageous but not mandatory.
