Product Owner – Collections
**Role Summary**
Own and scale the end‑to‑end collections and recoveries strategy for a fintech car‑finance platform. Drive data‑driven, AI‑enabled processes that balance customer empathy with strong credit outcomes, ensuring regulatory compliance and improving repayment performance. Lead a cross‑functional squad, partner with risk, operations, and external agencies, and report on credit metrics to senior leadership.

- Deliver measurable reductions in arrears rates and optimise recovery strategies.
- Build scalable, AI‑powered processes that enhance both customer experience and commercial returns.
- Partner cross‑functionally with engineering, risk, ops, and customer support to embed collections insights into the broader journey.
- Maintain regulatory, legal, and compliance standards with a focus on fair treatment of customers.
- Lead a high‑performing, accountable team and drive continuous improvement.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Design, define, and own the full collections & recoveries roadmap from early arrears to late‑stage recoveries.
2. Work with engineering squads to deliver features, automation, and AI‑driven tools.
3. Build scalable processes, playbooks, and training materials that balance customer care, efficiency, and commercial outcomes.
4. Develop and monitor repayment performance metrics; use insights to adjust strategy and tactics.
5. Cultivate relationships with external agencies, technology vendors, and partners essential to collections.
6. Ensure all initiatives comply with regulatory, legal, and fair‑treatment requirements.
7. Collaborate closely with risk, ops, and support teams to integrate collections learnings into the customer journey.
8. Own credit performance ownership, presenting regular updates to leadership and contributing to long‑term planning.
**Required Skills**
- Proven experience delivering results in fintech, digital consumer products, or AI environments.
- Strong product, data, and AI foundation; experience building or using AI for operational efficiency.
- Leadership ability to assemble, inspire, and scale high‑performing, cross‑functional squads.

**Required Education & Certifications**
