**Job Title** Python Engineer – B2B SaaS Fintech **Role Summary** Develop and maintain Python‑based services and APIs that process, publish, and deliver financial metrics for a B2B SaaS platform. Collaborate on scalable data pipelines, ensure code quality, and support fintech clients in obtaining actionable investment insights. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality, well‑documented code on schedule. - Apply solid software engineering fundamentals and best practices. - Foster a collaborative engineering culture through reviews and knowledge sharing. - Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and security. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, develop, and maintain robust REST/GraphQL APIs for financial data processing. - Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and publishing pipelines. - Write unit, integration, and performance tests; maintain test coverage. - Perform code reviews, refactor legacy modules, and enforce coding standards. - Debug, troubleshoot, and tune systems for scalability and latency. - Engage with product and stakeholder teams to gather requirements and validate solutions. - Document APIs, data schemas, and architectural decisions. **Required Skills** - Strong proficiency in Python 3.x, object‑oriented programming, and software design patterns. - Experience with relational database design (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and SQL. - Familiarity with modern data processing libraries (NumPy, Polars, DuckDB). - Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis. - Interactive debugging, profiling, and performance optimization. - Unit testing frameworks (pytest, unittest) and CI/CD pipeline integration. - Good communication, teamwork, and ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders. - Optional: exposure to Rust or C++ for low‑level data handling; financial domain familiarity (metrics, instruments). **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - No specific certifications required, though knowledge of software architecture, cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure), or fintech regulations is advantageous.
