**Job Title**
Artificial Intelligence Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, deploy, and maintain AI models—including LLMs and traditional ML—across enterprise banking applications. Integrate AI into workflows, ensuring scalable, monitored, and reproducible solutions on a cloud‑native platform. Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and cross‑functional teams to translate concepts into production-ready services while adhering to governance, compliance, and responsible AI standards.
**Expectations**
- Deliver high‑impact AI capabilities that enhance customer experience, decision‑making, and operational efficiency.
- Own the full model lifecycle: data ingestion, feature engineering, training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Apply MLOps practices to produce robust, scalable, and maintainable AI services.
- Work within regulatory and governance frameworks to maintain security, compliance, and ethical AI.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, implement, and deploy AI models (LLMs, traditional ML) for business‑critical use cases.
- Build agentic tools and embed intelligence across operational workflows.
- Develop AI capabilities on a cloud‑native data platform (Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric).
- Manage the AI solution lifecycle: data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, validation, deployment, monitoring.
- Apply MLOps best practices for scalable, monitored, reproducible ML solutions.
- Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and engineers to translate innovative ideas into real‑world solutions.
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, security policies, and responsible AI guidelines.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning.
**Required Skills**
- Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, or LangChain.
- Experience with Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Studio, Azure Functions, Event Hubs, Key Vault, Azure Data Factory).
- Knowledge of cloud‑native development and DevOps pipelines.
- Familiarity with data engineering tools: Spark, SQL, Data Lakes, notebooks.
- Ability to integrate AI models into business processes or operational systems.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., financial services) is a bonus.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of AI/ML engineering experience.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in ethical AI, data governance, and responsible innovation.
