Job Description
**Job title** Senior Treasury Modelling & Analytics Manager (Contractor) **Role Summary** A 12‑month contract to lead Treasury modelling and analytics for a high‑impact UK bank. The role provides subject‑matter expertise, supports the senior team leader, and drives improvements in model governance, efficiency, and group consistency across bank entities. Hybrid working: two days in office, rest remote. **Expectations** - Deliver robust, governed Treasury models that meet regulatory (Pillar 2A, IRB) expectations. - Provide independent, actionable recommendations to enhance model efficiency and consistency. - Communicate clear findings to internal and external stakeholders. - Lead a small team, driving project completion and knowledge transfer. **Key Responsibilities** - Provide advanced Treasury modelling expertise and support the Head of Treasury Modelling & Analytics. - Analyze and recommend a unified group view of Pillar 2A model requirements across entities. - Identify and implement efficiency improvements in existing Treasury models. - Conduct ad‑hoc analysis comparing data sources from each entity. - Maintain model lifecycle: build, test, implement governance, and manage change requests. **Required Skills** - Advanced coding in SAS (preferred) or Python. - Extensive Treasury modelling experience (build, maintain, govern, lifecycle management). - Knowledge of capital modelling and wholesale IRB models (desirable). - Proven leadership in delivering projects through a team. - Strong written and verbal communication; effective stakeholder relationship building. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, or equivalent professional experience. ---
