**Job Title**
Head of People (F/H)
**Role Summary**
Senior HR leader responsible for shaping, directing, and evolving the People function in a fast‑growing agency. Oversee a 3‑person HR team, partner closely with executive management, and deliver strategic HR initiatives that support business growth, culture, and talent retention.
**Expectations**
- Demonstrate proven HR leadership with at least 5 years of experience, including new‑business/start‑up exposure.
- Possess a strong people‑centric approach, empathy, and the ability to inspire a positive workplace culture.
- Exhibit strategic vision, problem‑solving, and pragmatic execution skills.
- Fluent in English; French language skills may be an asset but are not mandatory.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **HR Strategy & Management** – Define and implement HR strategy aligned with the agency’s vision; advise senior leaders on complex HR matters; lead, coach, and develop the HR team.
2. **People & Culture Development** – Design and roll out tailored training, performance management, and engagement programs; manage employer branding, campus initiatives, and workplace wellbeing.
3. **Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning** – Lead recruitment strategy to anticipate growth; partner with hiring managers on job specifications, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding; oversee staffing pipelines.
4. **Admin & Compliance** – Supervise payroll, benefits, HRIS administration; ensure statutory compliance, maintain up‑to‑date legal knowledge, and manage social relations and reporting.
5. **Performance Metrics & Reporting** – Establish KPIs; deliver regular HR reports; drive continuous improvement based on data insights.
**Required Skills**
- Senior HR knowledge (employment law, compensation, benefits, talent management).
- Proven experience managing a small HR team.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Strategic thinker with data‑driven decision‑making.
- Proactive, solution‑oriented attitude with a capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with HR technology (ATS, HRIS, performance systems).
- Ability to build and sustain an inclusive, high‑engagement culture.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- HR professional certification (e.g., SHRM‑CP/SHRM‑SH, CIPD, HRCI) preferred.
