Job Description
Job Title: ServiceNow CMDB Specialist Role Summary: Senior ServiceNow professional responsible for managing, configuring, and optimizing the CMDB, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Integration Hub ETL, scripting, and governance to support ITOM and ITSM processes. Expectations: • 10+ years of ServiceNow experience • Strong CMDB and configuration management expertise • Proficient with ITIL v4, ITOM, ITSM, and data management principles • Ability to lead CMDB deliverables and maintain data integrity Key Responsibilities: • Design, configure, and maintain CMDB data model and CI classes • Implement and troubleshoot Discovery, Service Mapping, and Integration Hub ETL workflows • Integrate CMDB with SCCM, Active Directory, and other source systems • Develop JavaScript and Glide API scripts for workflow customization • Produce CMDB health dashboards, audit reports, and compliance checks • Collaborate with ITSM teams on Incident, Change, and Problem processes • Ensure continuous data quality, normalization, and duplicate elimination Required Skills: • ServiceNow CMDB administration • Discovery & Service Mapping configuration • Integration Hub ETL and external system integration • JavaScript & Glide API scripting • ITIL v4 and configuration management principles • ITOM and ITSM process knowledge • Data management, normalization, and reconciliation tools Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field • ServiceNow Certified Administrator • ServiceNow Certified Data Architect or similar • ITIL Foundation certification • Additional ServiceNow Advanced Certifications (e.g., Application Developer, Integration Architecture) are a plus.
