Job title: Cloud DevOps Engineer - AWS
Role Summary:
Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructure, automate build/test/deployment pipelines, monitor system performance, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable cloud‑native solutions.
Expactations:
- Deliver robust, highly available AWS environments that support business applications.
- Continuously improve DevOps tooling and practices for faster, repeatable releases.
- Proactively identify and resolve performance, reliability, and security issues.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert on AWS, containers, and CI/CD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and provision AWS resources (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, SNS, SQS) using IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes or Amazon EKS.
- Scripting automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for operational tasks and tool integration.
- Monitor and log application and infrastructure metrics; respond to incidents and implement remediation.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to define requirements and enforce best practices.
- Stay current on AWS services, cloud security, and DevOps methodologies; evangelize new technologies.
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in AWS services and architecture patterns.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS).
- Hands‑on scripting in Python and/or Bash/PowerShell.
- Expertise with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
- Version control (Git) and branching strategy knowledge.
- Familiarity with microservices, RESTful APIs, and software testing frameworks.
- Understanding of DevOps security best practices and monitoring/logging solutions.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is a plus.
