Job title: DevOps Developer (DevOps)
Role Summary:
Design, implement, and maintain automated infrastructure and configuration workflows for mission‑critical systems, ensuring secure, reliable, and high‑performance operations across Windows and Linux environments.
Expactations:
- Deliver scalable automation solutions using industry‑standard DevOps tools.
- Protect and monitor systems through continuous security hardening and compliance controls.
- Enable rapid deployment, backup, and disaster recovery workflows.
- Maintain thorough, up‑to‑date documentation and reporting on system health, security, and compliance.
- Contribute to architectural planning, upgrades, and migrations, ensuring alignment with best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage automation tooling for installation, configuration, and patching of Windows servers, Linux servers, and workstations.
- Automate DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and other core network services.
- Design and implement backup and disaster‑recovery automation.
- Deploy and maintain security measures (firewalls, endpoint protection, access controls).
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and apply optimizations.
- Troubleshoot issues using automated and manual processes.
- Produce and upkeep system configuration documents, SOPs, and compliance reports.
- Participate in capacity planning, system upgrades, and migration projects.
- Stay current with emerging DevOps practices, tooling, and security trends.
Required Skills:
- 2+ years of DevOps practice (3+ for level 3, 5+ for level 4).
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Automation tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins, Foreman.
- Scripting: Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Networking fundamentals: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP.
- Virtualization: VMware, Hyper‑V, AHV.
- Security awareness and hardening experience.
- Ability to create and maintain documentation and reports.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent technical experience).
- Professional certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP Certified, Ansible Certified, DevOps Foundation) preferred.
- U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with full‑scope polygraph.
