**Job Title** Senior Data Scientist **Role Summary** Lead end‑to‑end data science initiatives, architecting advanced predictive, simulation, optimisation, and reinforcement learning models. Deliver analytical solutions that drive measurable business impact while mentoring junior analysts and embedding best practices across the organisation. **Expectations** - Design, validate, and deploy scalable models from ideation through production. - Translate insights into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders. - Foster a data‑centric culture by developing training programmes and sharing knowledge. - Drive continuous improvement of analytics platforms, tooling, and processes. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Own project lifecycle: concept, design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance. 2. Build complex analytical approaches using data from diverse sources to address strategic business questions. 3. Deploy advanced ML, optimisation, and reinforcement learning models at scale. 4. Communicate findings and recommendations to non‑technical audiences. 5. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and the Centre of Excellence to advance analytics practices. 6. Mentor and review junior data scientists, providing technical guidance. 7. Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead change initiatives. **Required Skills** - Deep expertise in data science toolbox: mathematics, statistics, programming (Python/Scala/R), data ingestion, data munging, visualisation, machine learning, optimisation, simulation, reinforcement learning, and big‑data technologies. - Strong analytical reasoning and problem‑decomposition capabilities. - Effective stakeholder management and communication skills. - Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them in production. - Leadership experience in cross‑functional teams with influence without authority. - Project management abilities to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. - Commercial awareness relevant to airline and travel industry. - Experience designing and implementing data science platforms and tooling. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a scientific/engineering discipline (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Sciences). - Significant commercial data‑science experience with demonstrated progression of responsibility.
