Job Description
Job title: Area Sales Manager (North & East London) Role Summary: Drive new business and growth within the on‑trade wine and spirits sector. Manage relationships with key clients (bars, hotels, restaurants), develop account plans, and deliver on sales budgets while ensuring high‑level customer service and brand positioning. Expactations: ● Meet and exceed 12‑month sales targets. ● Generate new commercial accounts and increase retention across existing clients. ● Apply WSET knowledge to provide expert product advice. ● Communicate insights and brand narratives to internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: • Develop & execute account plans aligned with regional sales objectives. • Deliver bi‑monthly sales updates and future plans. • Identify, develop and launch insight‑driven innovation initiatives across the marketing mix. • Foster strong cross‑functional collaboration to integrate brand activation and communication. • Maintain up‑to‑date understanding of brand portfolio, market trends, and customer P&L. • Provide exceptional customer service across the account portfolio. • Champion integration and clear communication of brand vision and positioning. Required Skills: • Minimum 3 years sales/business‑development experience in wine & spirits. • Proven success in winning new on‑trade business. • Deep understanding of premium wine & spirits and on‑trade channels. • Strong commercial acumen and P&L awareness. • Client‑centric, results‑driven, proactive with excellent communication and influencing skills. • Structured, reliable, creative problem‑solver with a can‑do attitude. • Self‑motivated, confident, outgoing, able to build relationships at all levels. Required Education & Certifications: • WSET qualification (preferred). • Relevant commercial or sales degree/qualification preferred but not mandatory.
