Job Description: **Job Title:** Senior Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Backend-focused engineering role (90%) with frontend (10%) and data engineering tasks. Develops payment processing systems, APIs, and services, balancing technical leadership, product ownership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Requires adaptability in a fast-paced fintech environment. **Expectations:** Product-minded engineer with a startup mentality who thrives in dynamic settings, drives technical decisions independently, and prioritizes system scalability, security, and user-centric design. Must excel under evolving requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design/architect payment processing backend systems (Elixir/Golang) with high scalability and performance. - Develop/maintain RESTful APIs and secure microservices for payment functionalities. - Lead technical architecture, mentor junior developers, and guide team best practices. - Collaborate with product managers to align technical execution with business goals. - Optimize database performance (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and implement data pipelines. - Ensure system reliability through testing, debugging, and DevOps collaboration (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes). - Advocate for secure, compliant solutions adhering to financial transaction standards. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in **Elixir, Golang**, or **JavaScript** (fintech/payments experience preferred). - Backend API/microservices development, RESTful services, and cloud infrastructure (AWS). - Familiarity with **React**, **MySQL**, **PostgreSQL**, **Docker**, **Kubernetes**, **Terraform**, **Git**. - Strong problem-solving, code optimization, and product-oriented design skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. - Minimum 5 years software development experience, preferably in **fintech or payments industry**. - Demonstrated expertise in scalable system architecture and secure software development.
